Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to identify clients’ mental health needs and establish appropriate treatment plans based on their unique situations.
  • Provide crisis intervention and diversion strategies to manage clients during acute crises, ensuring their safety and immediate needs are addressed.
  • Coordinate referrals to psychiatrists, advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), or other specialists for further evaluation as required.
  • Empower clients by offering tailored strategies for overcoming challenges related to low self-esteem, family conflicts, addiction, and suicidal tendencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and client progress, using this data to guide ongoing treatment approaches and adjustments.
  • Engage with clients' family members and support systems to monitor behavioral changes and responses to treatment, enhancing the support network for each individual.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve adults and adolescents facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. You will serve a diverse clientele, which includes individuals from various backgrounds and cultures, allowing you to apply culturally competent practices in your counseling work. Understanding and respect for individual differences are essential in creating effective therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
  • Current, active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State.
  • No history of medical malpractice claims, verified by a third-party agency.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
