Outstanding communication, leadership, and time management skills set exceptional Copy Chiefs apart in guiding remote teams and ensuring editorial standards. These abilities ensure high-quality, consistent content delivery and effective remote collaboration within digital publishing environments.

How does a Remote Copy Chief typically coordinate with writers and editors to maintain content quality across distributed teams?

As a Remote Copy Chief, effective collaboration with writers and editors is essential to uphold content standards and consistency. This is usually achieved through regular virtual meetings, clear editorial guidelines, and the use of collaborative tools like project management platforms and shared documents. Job description

Marketing Operations Manager, DTC
Remote | Full-Time | Individual Contributor | $75,000 - $95,000 Base Salary
About Healthy Back Institute
Since 2003, the Healthy Back Institute (HBI) has helped millions of people reclaim their freedom from pain. We are a fast-moving, direct-to-consumer health and wellness company built on a foundation of six core values: Freedom, Love, Team, Growth, Excellence, and Courage.
We are currently migrating from a legacy custom-development tech stack to a modern, SaaS-native commerce platform centered on UltraCart. As part of that transition, we are building out a Business Operations Manager team, a group of senior individual contributors who report into the COO and operate as a shared service across the company. Each Business Operations Manager serves a specific function and owns a company-wide specialty. This role's specialty is marketing operations and execution.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on execution role and the company-wide expert on running marketing and product execution at scale. You will not manage people; you will own the project management and operational engine behind our marketing campaigns, lifecycle programs, CRO testing, product launches, and brand consolidation work- covering both frontend execution (campaigns, landing pages, offers, funnels) and backend execution (email and SMS automation, lifecycle workflows, creative and copy production). As HBI consolidates multiple legacy domains and brand presences into a single Living Well Nutraceuticals brand on our new tech stack, you will keep marketing, product, creative, tech, and customer success aligned- building campaign timelines, managing testing and launch backlogs, coordinating product rollouts end-to-end, and ensuring work ships on a predictable cadence.
You will partner closely with the CMO and the broader marketing function- including creative leads, copywriters, marketing coordinators, and external agency partners- to enable execution across every channel and touchpoint. You will also serve as the operational partner to the COO and marketing leadership on campaign execution, funnel performance, lifecycle programs, and product launches, and the cross-functional translator who unblocks creative, tech, and customer success when a test, campaign, or launch is stuck between teams. This is a full-time, exempt individual contributor position reporting to the COO.
What You'll Own
Project Management & Cross-Functional Execution
  • Act as the central coordination point between Marketing, Product, Tech, and Customer Success
  • Build, manage, and update project plans, timelines, and dependencies across all initiatives
  • Build and improve workflows, SOPs, and execution processes that reduce friction and increase throughput
  • Identify bottlenecks early and drive resolution before they impact delivery
Frontend Campaign Execution
  • Drive end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns, launches, and promotional initiatives
  • Coordinate landing pages, offers, and funnel updates from concept to launch
  • Partner with the CMO, creative leads, and copywriters to keep frontend work moving against revenue outcomes
  • Remove blockers proactively to keep frontend campaigns on schedule
Backend & Lifecycle Execution
  • Drive execution of email and SMS programs, lifecycle automations, and retention workflows
  • Coordinate creative and copy production pipelines to enable consistent backend execution
  • Ensure backend platforms (Klaviyo, Maropost, or equivalent) operate cleanly and stay aligned with frontend campaigns and brand consolidation work
CRO and Funnel Operations
  • Manage and execute a backlog of CRO tests including landing pages, offers, and checkout flows
  • Ensure all tests are properly scoped, quality checked, and launched on time
  • Support continuous optimization of funnels and customer journeys tied to conversion, AOV, LTV, and revenue
Brand Consolidation and Product Launch Operations
  • Coordinate operational execution of new offers, bundles, and funnel updates across product, marketing, and tech
  • Support HBI's brand consolidation work- migrating legacy domains (e.g., losethebackpain.com, health and wellness tools) into our unified Living Well Nutraceuticals presence on UltraCart
  • Ensure clean QA and go-live processes for new product initiatives and migrated assets
What Success Looks Like
  • Campaigns, lifecycle programs, tests, and launches ship on time and on spec consistently
  • The CRO testing backlog moves at a predictable cadence with clear outcomes tied to conversion, AOV, LTV, and revenue
  • Brand consolidation and domain migration work stays coordinated across marketing, product, and tech touchpoints
  • Cross-functional teams have clear timelines, owners, and accountability at every stage
  • Processes exist and are followed, reducing reliance on heroics or last-minute scrambles
What You Bring
Required
  • Must be based in the United States and authorized to work in the US (this role is not open to overseas candidates)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing operations, marketing project management, or program management within a DTC, eCommerce, or direct-response environment
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects across marketing, product, and tech simultaneously without dropping details
  • Working knowledge of CRO principles- landing pages, offer structure, checkout flows, and how conversion connects to AOV, LTV, and revenue
  • Hands-on experience working with tech and development teams, including writing requirements, managing tickets, QA, and launches
  • Experience with project management platforms such as Wrike, Asana, Monday.com, ClickUp, or similar
  • Experience supporting domain migration, replatforming, or brand consolidation work across marketing and product environments
Preferred / Bonus
  • Hands-on CRO testing experience (landing pages, checkout flows, offer structures)
  • Experience with subscription, free trial, or continuity business models
  • Familiarity with UltraCart or similar SaaS commerce platforms
  • Familiarity with email and SMS platforms such as Klaviyo or Maropost
  • Experience in lean, fast-paced, or turnaround business environments
Who You Are
  • A strong project manager who drives work to completion and keeps stakeholders aligned
  • A systems thinker who understands how marketing, tech, and creative workflows connect, and who manages dependencies proactively
  • A data-oriented operator who understands how your work connects to conversion rate, AOV, LTV, and revenue
  • Someone who pushes initiatives forward without waiting for constant direction
  • Someone with real experience navigating the operational complexity of replatforming, domain migration, or brand consolidation across systems and teams
About the Team
You will be part of HBI's Business Operations Manager team- a group of senior individual contributors who report into the COO and operate as a shared service across the company. Each Business Operations Manager serves a specific function (such as Customer Success, Marketing & Product Development, People & Talent, or Systems & Data) and owns a company-wide specialty. This role's specialty is marketing operations and execution- meaning you set the standard for how marketing and product work gets executed across HBI.
You will partner closely with the CMO, creative leads, copywriters, marketing coordinators, agency partners, and the Customer Success and Tech teams to drive execution across every channel and touchpoint.
If you've built your career driving execution in fast-moving DTC or marketing environments and want a role with real ownership and direct impact on revenue, we'd love to hear from you!
Benefits
  • Remote position with flexible schedule and healthy work/life balance
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401K Retirement Plan
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Flexible PTO
  • Discount on HBI products
