Position Overview

The Healthy Wave Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our team in a remote setting. This full-time position is designed for compassionate professionals who are eager to provide high-quality mental health care to individuals, couples, and families. The counselor will engage in comprehensive mental health evaluations, craft personalized treatment plans, and lead therapeutic interventions tailored to our diverse client base.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your home while remaining connected with a team of like-minded professionals. You will utilize advanced electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to streamline documentation and patient management. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth preliminary interviews with clients to gather comprehensive mental health histories, leading to detailed documentation from the initial consultation through treatment completion.
• Assess and evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, employing evidence-based practices and clinical judgement.
• Design and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans that cater to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment for clients to share their experiences.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress throughout treatment, adapting plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Actively follow up with clients admitted to inpatient facilities, coordinating care with psychiatrists and attending physicians to ensure a continuum of care.
• Identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing strategies to clients and their families, and equipping them with skills to overcome these challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The counselor will work with a varied patient population in terms of age, background, and mental health conditions. You will help clients facing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders, ensuring they receive tailored support designed to improve their emotional well-being. Your role will significantly contribute to helping individuals achieve stability and personal growth, leading to healthier lives.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current and valid licensure as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• An understanding of the latest developments in psychotherapy and mental health best practices.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mental health counselor, ideally in an outpatient setting.
• Experience managing clients with dual diagnoses involving underlying physical health and addiction issues.
• Hands-on experience with group facilitation and family therapy.
• A strong grasp of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, families, and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to financial compensation, our benefits package includes:
