The Emory Mental Health and Psychological Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team. • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status, utilizing evidence-based tools and methodologies, such as the DSM-5, to create individualized care plans.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patients' progress, employing therapeutic interventions that promote mental well-being and support effective coping strategies.
• Document and maintain accurate treatment records and reports in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility of patient information.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment strategies that address individual needs and desired outcomes.
• Facilitate referrals to necessary resources and services, acting as a vital link between patients and other healthcare providers.
• Mentor and educate students, interns, and volunteers, contributing to the professional development of future mental health professionals.
• Participate in peer review and chart auditing to enhance team performance and clinical outcomes, as guided by your supervisor.

Our primary commitment is to individuals and families affected by cancer diagnoses. This population often experiences heightened emotional distress; thus, your role as an LCSW is pivotal in providing culturally sensitive care that recognizes the complexities of their situations. You will address a diverse array of issues, including anxiety, depression, and grief, ensuring that treatment plans reflect patients' cultural backgrounds and personal preferences.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

While not mandatory, experience in outpatient mental health therapy, particularly in oncology or chronic illness settings, will be highly regarded. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and a strong understanding of mental health diagnosis and treatment modalities will help you thrive in this role.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
