Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental and emotional states, evaluating the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

  • Collaborate with clients to create comprehensive and personalized treatment plans that align with their individual goals and treatment preferences.

  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other modalities, based on client needs.

  • Provide education and support to clients and families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

  • Regularly assess client progress, adapting treatment plans as required to ensure efficacy in achieving therapeutic goals.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and medical professionals, to provide integrated care and address comprehensive needs.

  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment, ensuring the application of best practices in therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing relationship challenges, particularly those affected by divorce and its emotional ramifications. You will engage with a diverse group of clients, helping them to navigate their feelings, improve interpersonal communication, and build healthier coping mechanisms. Qualifications
  • Must hold an active and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

  • Possess a Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish trust and rapport with clients through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Exhibit empathy, a nonjudgmental attitude, and respect for clients' experiences and struggles.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently to balance workload and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities, including structural, strategic, systems, narrative, trans-generational, or communication therapy.

  • Previous work with mood disorders and couples facing relationship difficulties is highly desirable.

  • Experience in educational outreach and psychoeducation is preferred for client and family engagement.
