Requirements
The Contract Administrator is a foundational and integral role within our project management team. Representing a premier Independent Power Producer (IPP), the successful candidate will manage the complete lifecycle of contract administration for our solar construction projects.
This role requires a highly organized professional with an exceptional attention to detail. You will routinely manage contracts involving complex financing structures (tax equity), ensure adherence to strict regulatory guidelines (such as prevailing wage and domestic content), and act as the primary liaison between multiple key stakeholders, including landowners, utility partners, and contractors.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contract Management
  • Prepare contract notification requirements list. Send and track notifications.
  • Identify and track contractor monthly or routine submittals (project reports, schedules, etc.)
  • Prepare and track contract milestone and closeout submittal list.
  • Manage and close Builders Risk Insurance (BRI), as required
  • Manage all necessary bonds (P&P, driveway, etc.), as required.
  • Track land lease requirements.
  • Track Interconnection Agreement (IA) contract requirements
  • Track Owner and Contractor insurance expiration dates
  • Track permit requirements and expiration dates (Conditional Use Permit, Building Permits, etc)
  • Track ESA Phase 1 expiration dates
Accounts Payable
  • Prepare Purchase Orders for vendors, contractors, and supplies.
  • Review vendor and subcontractor invoices for
  • Verify accounting codes
  • Verify all required documentation and lien waivers are provided
  • Verify conditional and unconditional lien releases are provided before payments are released
  • Verify the invoice matches the PO or Pay Application
  • Verify that the equipment or service was provided (inspection reports, etc.)
  • Code and send to Approver within AP Software
  • Track and communicate project AP with vendors and contractors
Finance
  • Assist with preparation, submittal, and tracking of the finance submittals including:
  • Construction loan and tax equity closing requirements.
  • Construction loan and tax equity monthly draw requirements.
  • Project status reports
Compliance
  • Manage and track the Project Compliance matrix and deliverables for
  • Prevailing Wage
  • Apprenticeship
  • Domestic Content
  • Other program compliance requirements
  • Ensure that wage determinations are submitted
  • Document Management
  • Manage and organize project documents including revision control utilizing the PX Platform

EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of direct experience in a General Contractor, EPC firm, or IPP, ideally in commercial or industrial solar or battery storage construction;
  • Demonstrated experience achieving positive renewable energy project construction results;
  • Understanding of the solar industry
