Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, including both pre-crisis and crisis intervention plans, and behavioral guidelines.
• Ensure timely completion of documentation that meets all regulatory standards, monitoring compliance with best practices in mental health.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools in collaboration with the clinical team to ensure effective treatment outcomes for clients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs.
• Actively participate in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the clinic’s standards of quality and care.
• Serve as a liaison to various service systems, state agencies, and community partners to enhance patient care and access to resources.
• Maintain clear and open communication channels to promote the clinic's mission and compliance with contract standards within the community.
• Build and nurture relationships with local, state, federal, and private organizations to foster program support, identify new partnerships, and explore funding opportunities.
• Engage in professional development through conferences, specialized training, and participation in task forces to stay informed about advancements in mental health care.
• Embrace and promote the agency's mission and values, acting as an ambassador for the organization in all interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to ensure smooth clinic operations and high-quality patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily work with a diverse patient population facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and substance abuse disorders. You will tailor your therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each client, helping them to manage their conditions effectively while engaging in community resources and support systems.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is required.
• Must possess an independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license, or be in the process of obtaining licensure with support from the clinic.

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing counseling services in an outpatient setting, ideally with a focus on diverse populations.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic interventions and crisis management strategies.
• Prior experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
