Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as an LCSW, you will undertake critical responsibilities that include:

  • Psychosocial Assessment: Conduct prompt and thorough psychosocial assessments, utilizing your knowledge of human behavior and treatment dynamics, while considering ethical and risk-related issues.
  • Clinical Intervention: Implement clinical interventions including supportive counseling services for patients and their families. Facilitate referrals to community agencies and services, and organize family conferences to assist clients with complex emotional decisions, such as end-of-life care options.
  • Triage and Caseload Management: Effectively manage a clinical caseload, prioritizing high-risk cases while maintaining proactive communication with colleagues and management for optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited educational institution.
  • A valid California LCSW license.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a medical setting, with at least one year in oncology or cancer care preferred.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
