About the Team

This Old House (part of Roku) is hiring a Social Media Manager to lead the day-to-day execution and growth of our social media presence across platforms. As we transition from an agency model to an in-house team, this role will be central to building a more agile, content-first social operation that is fully integrated with production and editorial.

The Social Media Manager will manage and grow social accounts across This Old House, Ask This Old House, and related franchises, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand presence across platforms. This person will be responsible for creating and publishing content, managing calendars, coordinating shoots, and turning production moments into high-performing social content.

The ideal candidate is a strong operator who understands what performs on social, can execute quickly, and is comfortable managing multiple accounts while working closely with producers, editors, and marketing teams. This role requires someone who is equally comfortable behind a content calendar and on set capturing social-first moments.

The estimated annual base salary for this position is between $110,000 and $117,000 with additional equity. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographic location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

This role will be in office Monday - Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.

What you'll be doing
  • Drive social media ideation and execution with the goal of growing audience, engagement, and video views across platforms
  • Create and publish social content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and emerging platforms
  • Manage and maintain the social calendar, including planning, scheduling, and optimizing posts across multiple brand and franchise accounts
  • Oversee ~40+ social accounts across brand, show, and talent profiles, ensuring consistency and organization
  • Attend pre-production calls, content meetings, and production days to identify and capture social-first content opportunities
  • Coordinate and execute social content shoots, both with and without talent, in collaboration with production teams
  • Manage and partner with an editor/content creator to produce short-form video and platform-specific content
  • Optimize content for each platform based on format, trends, and performance insights
  • Support promotion of affiliate and commerce content across social channels
  • Partner with marketing on paid social campaigns, including boosting and performance optimization
  • Align organic and paid efforts to maximize reach, engagement, and traffic
  • Monitor comments, DMs, and audience engagement, and support day-to-day community management
  • Track and report on key social metrics including growth, engagement, video performance, and traffic
  • Use data and insights to continuously refine content and improve performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, editorial, marketing, and ad sales teams to support launches, campaigns, and ongoing programming
We're excited if you have
  • 5+ years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, or digital media
  • Strong understanding of short-form video, platform-specific storytelling, and what drives performance on social
