Remote Content Distribution information

What is remote content distribution?

Remote content distribution is the process of sharing, publishing, and managing digital content—such as articles, videos, or graphics—across various online platforms from a location outside of a traditional office. This role typically involves using digital tools to ensure content reaches the intended audience, optimizing for engagement, and sometimes coordinating with marketing or editorial teams. Working remotely allows professionals to perform these tasks from anywhere with an internet connection, providing flexibility while maintaining content quality and reach.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote content distribution roles, and how can they be managed?

Professionals in remote content distribution often encounter challenges such as coordinating across different time zones, ensuring timely delivery of content to various platforms, and maintaining clear communication with team members and stakeholders. Managing these challenges typically involves using project management tools, setting clear deadlines, and establishing regular check-ins with the team. Staying organized and proactive communication are key to ensuring that content reaches the right audiences efficiently and without errors.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote content distribution specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Content Distribution Specialist, you need strong digital marketing knowledge, content management experience, and familiarity with distribution strategies, often supported by a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, social media scheduling tools, and analytics software is typically required. Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective remote communication are soft skills that set top performers apart. These abilities are crucial for efficiently reaching target audiences, maximizing content impact, and collaborating across distributed teams.

Overview

Liquibase is the leader in Database Change Governance. Trusted by many of the world's largest enterprises and downloaded more than 100 million times, Liquibase helps organizations govern database change across modern applications, data platforms, and AI-driven software delivery.
We're looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to help build the category through content.
You'll help establish Liquibase as the industry's authoritative voice on Database Change Governance. You'll transform product expertise, customer stories, research, analyst insights, and engineering knowledge into content that educates developers, architects, security teams, platform engineers, and executives.
You'll work across Product Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Analyst Relations, and PR to create the content engine that drives awareness, AI discoverability, pipeline, and customer expansion.

What You'll Own:
  • Develop and execute Liquibase's content strategy across our website, Resource Center, blog, email, social media, video, webinars, and sales content.
  • Own the content calendar, balancing evergreen educational content, product storytelling, customer stories, industry research, analyst insights, and timely commentary on AI and database governance.
  • Write and edit high-quality content including blogs, whitepapers, eBooks, benchmark reports, customer stories, solution briefs, landing pages, and executive thought leadership.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to support product launches, messaging, competitive positioning, and major campaigns.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales to turn technical expertise into compelling content buyers actually want to read.
  • Build a repeatable content engine that extends every major asset into blogs, webinars, videos, social media, email campaigns, and sales resources.
  • Support executive communications through ghostwriting for LinkedIn, speaking engagements, analyst interactions, media opportunities, and customer events.
  • Help establish Liquibase as the definitive source for Database Change Governance through original research, educational frameworks, customer proof, and thought leadership.
  • Develop content that performs across search engines, AI assistants, answer engines, and social channels.
  • Measure content performance across awareness, engagement, organic growth, AI visibility, pipeline influence, and revenue contribution.
  • Use AI tools to improve research, production, personalization, and content operations while maintaining high editorial standards.
What Success Looks Like:
  • Liquibase becomes the industry's most trusted educational resource for Database Change Governance.
  • Organic search, AI discoverability, and branded awareness continue to grow.
  • Content consistently influences enterprise pipeline, expansion opportunities, and customer adoption.
  • Sales and Customer Success rely on content throughout the buyer journey.
  • Liquibase earns increasing analyst, media, and community recognition.
  • Every major product launch, research report, customer story, and campaign is supported by coordinated, high-quality content.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Thinks like an editor, marketer, and category builder.
  • Can simplify highly technical concepts without losing credibility.
  • Enjoys interviewing engineers, customers, and executives as much as writing.
  • Balances creativity with measurable business outcomes.
  • Operates independently while collaborating across Product, Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, and Marketing.
  • Comfortable using AI to improve productivity without sacrificing quality.
Must Haves:
  • 5+ years of B2B SaaS content marketing experience.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience owning editorial strategy and content calendars.
  • Experience producing blogs, whitepapers, eBooks, benchmark reports, customer stories, solution briefs, and thought leadership.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, content distribution, and how AI is changing search and content discovery.
  • Experience partnering with subject matter experts to create technically accurate content.
  • Experience supporting product launches, sales enablement, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience using analytics to improve content performance and demonstrate business impact.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve research, writing, editing, and content operations.
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience marketing to developers, DevOps, platform engineering, database, data engineering, or cybersecurity audiences.
  • Experience building original research reports, benchmark studies, or annual industry reports.
  • Experience supporting executive thought leadership, analyst relations, or media programs.
