What is a remote content analyst?

A Remote Content Analyst is a professional who reviews, evaluates, and improves digital content for accuracy, quality, and relevance while working from a remote location. Their responsibilities often include analyzing data, ensuring content aligns with organizational standards, and making recommendations for improvement. Remote Content Analysts typically work with websites, social media, or digital marketing materials, collaborating with teams virtually. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with content management systems.

How do remote content analysts typically collaborate with team members despite working remotely?

Remote Content Analysts usually collaborate with colleagues through a variety of digital tools such as project management platforms, instant messaging, and video conferencing. Regular virtual meetings and shared documentation ensure alignment on content strategy and project progress. Building strong relationships remotely often involves participating in online brainstorming sessions and providing timely feedback on shared content.

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Marketing based in Netherlands.

This is a hands-on marketing leadership role with full ownership of the growth engine across the customer journey.
You'll lead strategy and execution across performance marketing, SEO, paid media, content, web, and lifecycle channels.
The role combines executive-level decision-making with direct involvement in campaigns, funnels, analytics, and experimentation.
You'll build a unified, data-driven marketing approach designed to accelerate qualified lead generation and revenue growth.
You'll also scale the marketing function by coordinating internal teams, specialists, and external agency partners.
Working closely with Sales, Operations, and executive leadership, you'll connect marketing performance directly to commercial objectives.
This is an ideal opportunity for a highly analytical, entrepreneurial marketer who thrives in a lean, fast-moving, fully remote environment.

Accountabilities
  • Own and lead the marketing strategy and execution end to end, with direct accountability for lead generation, growth, and revenue outcomes.
  • Audit existing marketing operations and channels, identify performance gaps, and establish a unified cross-channel growth strategy.
  • Optimize and scale performance marketing across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, paid social, SEO, website, content, and lifecycle/email campaigns.
  • Map and continuously optimize the end-to-end customer journey across acquisition, conversion, and retention touchpoints.
  • Build a high-performing marketing organization by scaling the internal team and coordinating specialists and external agency partners.
  • Establish robust analytics, attribution, reporting, and measurement frameworks to provide granular visibility into marketing performance.
  • Master the organization's data infrastructure, conversion funnels, and GA4 reporting within the first 3-6 months.
  • Build actionable dashboards and use data to guide channel investment, experimentation, and resource allocation.
  • Identify and ruthlessly prioritize high-leverage growth opportunities that can generate measurable business impact.
  • Design and run disciplined experiments, quickly translating insights into practical improvements across campaigns and funnels.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Operations, and executive leadership to align marketing activity with revenue targets, customer needs, and operational capacity.
  • Establish lightweight processes, reporting cadences, and operating systems that improve accountability, speed, and clarity across the marketing function.
  • Coach and develop team members while fostering a culture of ownership, urgency, customer centricity, and measurable performance.
Requirements:
  • 6-10+ years of digital and performance marketing experience, including a proven track record leading a marketing team or function within a high-growth organization.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for scaling multi-channel marketing and directly contributing to measurable growth in leads, revenue, or customer acquisition.
  • Deep hands-on expertise across integrated channels including SEO, paid media/PPC, web, content, and email/lifecycle marketing.
  • Strong experience managing and connecting multiple acquisition channels into a cohesive, high-converting customer journey.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including hands-on experience with GA4, data modeling, performance dashboards, conversion funnels, and attribution.
  • Ability to move seamlessly between strategic leadership and hands-on execution, from defining executive-level priorities to troubleshooting campaigns and conversion flows.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect marketing investments and performance metrics to broader business objectives.
  • Highly organized, proactive, self-motivated, and outcome-driven, with a strong bias toward action and measurable results.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, particularly within distributed and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working effectively with external agencies, specialists, and remote teams.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to challenge assumptions, investigate problems deeply, and continuously improve existing approaches.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving direct, constructive feedback and operating with a high level of urgency when appropriate.
  • Strong customer-centric mindset, with a willingness to understand customer needs and use those insights to inform marketing strategy.
  • Experience in a startup or similarly fast-moving environment is strongly valued.
  • Comfortable working as a full-time independent contractor, managing applicable taxes and obligations independently.
Benefits:
  • 100% remote work from Poland, with the flexibility to work from anywhere with the required tools and a reliable internet connection.
  • Full-time independent contractor arrangement.
  • Flexible working schedule focused on outcomes and results rather than fixed working hours.
  • High degree of workplace flexibility to accommodate changing personal and professional circumstances.
  • Opportunity to take full ownership of the marketing function and directly influence growth strategy and business performance.
  • Leadership position with significant autonomy in setting priorities, building teams, and scaling marketing capabilities.
  • Opportunity to work across multiple marketing channels and own the full customer journey from acquisition through conversion.
  • Highly data-driven environment where analytics, experimentation, and measurable outcomes inform decision-making.
  • Fully distributed, international team with colleagues across multiple regions.
  • Opportunity to work in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment where initiative, urgency, and ownership are highly valued.
  • Culture centered on intellectual curiosity, customer centricity, radical candor, open communication, and results.
  • Encouragement to apply even if you do not meet every listed requirement, with consideration given to transferable experience and potential fit.
