Why This Role Matters

Real-time communication sits at the heart of the Conquer platform. As our Senior Platform Engineer, Voice Infrastructure, you will own and evolve the systems that power how sales teams connect with customers through calling, routing, and intelligent workflows directly inside Salesforce.

This role is deeply hands-on and production-focused. You will work directly on the voice stack from day one, helping shape the architecture, improve reliability, and build a modern, scalable calling experience.

Your work will directly impact call quality, system performance, and the speed at which we can deliver new voice features to our customers.

What You Will Do

  • Design, build, and scale Conquer’s telephony infrastructure and supporting services

  • Own integrations with domestic and international SIP Trunking providers

  • Work directly in production environments, troubleshooting real-time call quality and reliability issues

  • Improve observability across the voice stack, including SIP, RTP, and media paths

  • Develop and evolve call routing, dialing workflows, and real-time communication services

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer teams to shape the calling experience

  • Contribute to architectural decisions, including ongoing platform and orchestration improvements

  • Document systems and create runbooks that improve team understanding and operational readiness

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience

  • Strong experience with telephony systems including, OpenSIPS and FreeSWITCH

  • Experience debugging SIP and RTP issues using tools such as packet captures or SIP traces

  • Experience operating and owning real-time systems in production environments

  • Strong ability to debug complex telephony issues, including SIP signaling, RTP/media paths, and call quality problems

  • Experience designing and maintaining reliable, scalable systems with a focus on performance and uptime

  • Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and incident response in production environments

  • Experience building or maintaining backend services using languages like Python or Go

  • Comfort working in infrastructure environments that may include containers (Docker), orchestration, or cloud platforms

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Kubernetes

  • Experience with WebRTC end-to-end, including ICE, STUN, TURN, and DTLS-SRTP

  • Background with browser-based softphones or CRM-embedded calling experiences

  • Experience with real-time media observability and monitoring

  • Experience with call recording, transcription, or AI-driven voice features

  • Experience with VoIPmonitor

  • Exposure to telephony-related compliance considerations such as TCPA, STIR/SHAKEN, call recording laws, and consent management
