Role summary

We are seeking a Salesforce Consultant - Experience Cloud for our client. to support federal and public sector initiatives. This role blends functional consulting and hands-on configuration, with a strong emphasis on Experience Cloud (portals, user journeys, and digital experiences).

This individual will lead discovery and requirements efforts (50%) while also supporting hands-on configuration and solution delivery (50%). The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and facilitator who can translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and requirements workshops with WHS stakeholders.
  • Prepare and facilitate current-state assessments, process mapping, and future-state design sessions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional designs.
  • Work closely with Salesforce Architects to align business needs with scalable Experience Cloud solutions.
  • Configure and implement Experience Cloud solutions, including portals, user access, page layouts, and workflows.
  • Design and optimize user journeys within Experience Cloud (login, case management, self-service, etc.).
  • Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and Agile delivery activities.
  • Validate solutions through demos, prototypes, and stakeholder feedback loops.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario creation and defect triage.
  • Provide training frameworks and support end-user adoption efforts (in partnership with BA/support teams).
  • Ensure compliance with federal security, governance, and data standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on Salesforce capabilities, limitations, and best practices.

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • 5-8 years of Salesforce experience as a Consultant, Business Analyst, or Functional Lead
    • Strong hands-on experience configuring Salesforce Experience Cloud (Communities/Portals)
    • Proven ability to lead discovery and translate business needs into configured Salesforce solutions
    • Experience designing and delivering customer-facing portals, case management workflows, and digital experiences
    • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities (Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud)
    • Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile environments Ability to balance functional consulting with hands-on configuration (not a developer role)
    • Experience supporting federal or highly regulated environments preferred Salesforce certifications preferred (Administrator, Experience Cloud Consultant, etc.)
    • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
    • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of our client.
    • Must be able to work EST hours
