We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Lighthouse Psychiatry Counseling Center. Lighthouse Psychiatry Counseling Center is a community-focused mental health clinic located in Wichita, Kansas. This position is entirely remote, enabling you to provide critical mental health services from your own home. • Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to discern each patient's unique experiences and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions that respect and incorporate the cultural and personal backgrounds of patients.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions designed to address a range of mental health concerns, foster resilience, and enhance overall well-being.
• Collaborate with other professionals within the clinic to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to patient care.
• Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, providing immediate support to patients in distress.
• Educate patients and their family members on mental health diagnoses, coping strategies, treatment options, and available community resources to empower their recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Participate actively in case conference discussions and team meetings to contribute to collaborative care strategies.
• Stay abreast of current research, emerging best practices in therapy, and sociocultural issues in mental health care.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Lighthouse, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including those from marginalized communities, refugees, individuals facing cultural stigma, and members of the LGBTQ+ population. This role is vital in ensuring that all patients receive compassionate and comprehensive mental health care tailored to their unique experiences.

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required. Master’s or doctoral degrees in clinical mental health or social work are strongly preferred.
• A valid and active License as a Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent licensure in the state of Kansas.
• Strong understanding of diverse cultural perspectives and their implications for mental health treatment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients from varied backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to develop individualized treatment plans and interventions.

• Experience working in a community mental health setting, particularly with underserved populations.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and experience implementing them in therapy.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, or other therapeutic modalities.
• Proficiency in using telehealth tools and platforms for virtual therapy sessions.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
