SALARY RANGE: $69,100.00 - $95,050.00

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Is responsible for assisting in the development of standard safety and environmental loss prevention and compliance programs, in addition to executing related assessments for GROWMARK and the FS System.
SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP
Provides solutions through mentoring as needed, necessary, and appropriate.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists in evaluation, development, and implementation of policies, programs, and procedures regarding GROWMARK safety standards and expectations.
Contributes to the development and implementation of annual Risk Management Reviews/Plans.
Monitors environmental and safety laws and regulations which may impact compliance programs.
Is a perpetual resource providing solutions to safety and regulatory issues brough forth by affected parties throughout the GROWMARK and FS System.
Assists GROWMARK and the FS System by providing local training as needed, necessary, and appropriate.
Collaborates in the creation and implementation of standardized inspections, audits, and assessments designed to benchmark the execution of safety initiatives throughout GROWMARK and the FS System.
Conducts job hazard assessments as well as monitors Process Safety Management protocols as needed and necessary.
Develops and implements DHS Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) plans and DOT Hazardous Material Security plans at applicable facilities.
Develops environmental compliance procedures for new facilities and makes updates or revisions to existing procedures as necessary.
Responds to and assists with crisis related emergencies as needed and necessary throughout GROWMARK and the FS System.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Acts as a liaison with regulatory agencies.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, or industrial technology or equivalent, or 2 years or more of advanced safety, environmental or OSHA related experience to demonstrate the ability to provide safety, environmental, compliance, and accident prevention training to the GROWMARK and FS System.
Ability to obtain the HAZWOPER 24-hour certification to conduct certified training within 1 year of employment.
Ability to conduct effective presentations and training.
Requires professional communication and customer service skills.
Requires organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Requires the ability to work independently and in team-oriented environment.
Requires skill, ability to learn, and relative proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite of products.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and ability to travel independently and overnight.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. and use man lifts, stairs and ladders.
Occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions and contact with chemicals and dust requiring the proper use of personal protective equipment.
Occasionally required to work extended hours.
Requires the ability to maintain complete confidentiality.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
