Job description

REMOTE POSITION

Will support the following sales territory: CA, NV, HI

Must possess a valid Drivers License

Job Summary: 

The Sales Manager will position SCRAM System Products as industry leaders in alcohol monitoring, location monitoring and software applications with service partners, and government agencies.  Prospect, qualify, and develop new customer relationships within assigned territory.  

Assigned territory includes the following states: California, Nevada & Hawaii 

Candidate must reside in California. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the development, coordination and implementation of sales growth strategies with Director of Sales  

  • Engage in daily sales activity within assigned territory to ensure meeting or exceeding revenue targets  

  • Gather input from Director of Sales and Customer Services prior to each customer visit so that critical areas or concerns can be addressed and a follow-up plan developed and clearly communicated to all parties  

  • Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals to Director of Sales  

  • Territory management, with the ability to set short and long-term sales strategies for an assigned territory  

  • Provide direct creative support to internal partners, government agencies and prospects via the development of messaging, presentation support, strategic territory planning, and overall plans to deliver and service jurisdictions   

  • Evaluate customer's operations and identify ways to drive increased sales and operations efficiency   

  • Listen to customer concerns; develop plans and timelines for resolution and follow-up in a timely manner.  

  • Identifynew ideas and / or improvements to SCRAM Systems programs by noting common issues or concerns within customer base  

  • Work with customers in understanding current buying cycles and product needs   

  • Assist with the replacement of older product versions with new as technologies evolve and emerge  

  • Position and sell new SCRAM software applications to partners and government agencies  

  • Participate in managing customer accounts receivables issues  

  • Participate in internal and customer facing conference calls and webinars   

  • Provide conference / tradeshow support as needed  

  • Must have valid drivers license and meet acceptable driver standards 

  • This position requires approximately 50% travel 

 


Skills/Abilities:  

  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals? 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent listening skills? 

  • Formalized sales training? 

  • Demonstrated ability to convey a strong value proposition and seek “win-win” outcomes? 

  • Strong understanding of government procurement including RFP and Bid process? 

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple priorities? 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a “can do” attitude?? 

  • Team player who performs well aligning team goals to activities  

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint?? 

Education and Experience:   

  • Bachelor's degree preferred 

  • Knowledge of criminal justice/public safety industry a plus 

  • 2 years of proven successful sales experience
