About our group:
Seagate's Credit Department mitigates credit risk and enables profitable growth by managing credit lines and exposures worldwide. We support our Collections Team and partner closely with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, and Legal to maintain strong customer relationships while protecting Seagate's balance sheet. Our portfolio includes large, global customers, and we perform credit assessments and credit limit recommendations in-house-leveraging customer financial statements, payment behavior, and market intelligence, rather than relying solely on external credit rating agency data. We are an organized and well-established global group focused on high-quality service and continuous improvement.
About the role - you will:
  • Work closely with relevant departments to secure customer data and financial statements
  • Perform credit analysis for new and existing customers and assess the credit risk associated with the proposed or assigned credit line
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis and provide recommendations to support management decision-making
  • Create ad-hoc analyses, executive summaries, and recurring reporting to support management decision-making
  • Monitor and analyze key economic indicators across AMER, EMEA, and APAC
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities within the Global customer portfolio
  • Perform cash flow analysis and create customer forecasts
  • Conduct research and conceptualize new techniques, ideas, and solutions for a variety of credit challenges
  • Provide relevant departments with critical updates on the financial condition of their customers
  • Partner with Sales and Sales Operations to support order management decisions (e.g., holds/releases) by monitoring credit exposure, past-due trends, and dispute risk
  • Work as one global team: coordinate and facilitate credit and collections efforts with close communication and collaboration across regions
  • Enforce credit policies and procedures through, but not limited to, the following:
  • Be familiar with the policies and procedures
  • Maintain and update desktop procedures on a regular basis
  • Communicate and enforce policies when necessary
  • Assist with SOX controls and compliance procedures
  • Perform ad-hoc control procedures that may be assigned

About you:
  • Eager to learn and curious about what is going on in the World
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data
  • Interested in new techniques using AI and Machine Learning to automate and improve credit analysis
  • Able to interpret and synthesize financial data, news, and relevant market intelligence (including third-party sources) as inputs to Seagate's in-house credit assessment
  • Experience in developing mathematical and statistical models is a plus
  • Being proactive on taking actions on anticipated environmental changes, legislation, market movements, annual performance results of our customers, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Basic concept of credit risk mitigation strategies, practices, and systems
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Knowledge in analysis of financial statements, cash flow analysis, industry/market credit research, and ever-changing country risks is a plus
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to develop customer relationships, negotiate, and effectively relay information and resolve disputes
  • Possess a process improvement mindset with a desire to consistently look for ways to improve efficiency and service while maintaining a "big picture" perspective

  • Working in a credit analysis function or quantitative experience
    Bachelor's and/or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)

  • Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects, with varying degrees of supervision

The estimated base salary range for this position is $59,300 - $84,700. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
