Job description

UPMC is hiring a full-time, remote Intermediate Systems Analyst. This role offers career growth and an excellent total rewards package. Candidates with experience in Salesforce administration, SQL, and requirements gathering are encouraged to apply.

Work Location: Fully remote, with optional hoteling space available at the United States Steel building in Pittsburgh.

Work Hours: Day shift during standard Eastern business hours, typically 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Purpose:
Under the general direction of the management team and senior staff, the Systems Analyst - Intermediate provides experienced analytical services, defining requirements, developing and/or maintaining computer applications/systems, and providing services to meet client IT and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary support resource for Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, including user administration, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements from stakeholders to support system enhancements and process improvements.

  • Support system integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise applications, including monitoring, troubleshooting, testing, and coordinating issue resolution.

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

  • Write and execute SQL queries to perform data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and reporting activities.

  • *Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.

  • *Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Typically has 2+ years' experience with modern technology and application support through education or practical experience.

  • 1-2 years of experience supporting Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud environments required. Salesforce Administrator Certification is preferred and considered a strong asset. (Preferred)

  • Proficiency in SQL, including data validation, troubleshooting, reporting, and database analysis. (Preferred)

  • 2+ years of experience supporting system integrations, including requirements gathering, integration testing, troubleshooting, and collaboration with technical teams. (Preferred)

  • Strong requirements elicitation and analysis skills, with experience facilitating stakeholder interviews and workshops, documenting business and functional requirements, developing user stories, and ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions. (Preferred)

  • Experience working within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment, including participation in Agile ceremonies and collaboration with cross-functional teams. (Preferred)

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. (Preferred)

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. (Preferred)

  • Highly driven and self-motivated to meet expectations.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.

  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of information technology fundamental tools and concepts (SDLC) of one of the information technology professional disciplines and applies that understanding to make independent practical contributions to IT work within a UPMC department or function.

  • Completes on-going training on-the-job, through courses, self-study, certifications and/or advanced degrees to maintain and enhance technical and business capabilities.

  • Additionally, this position may be required to maintain a standby status as part of a rotation within the team.

  • This requires 24 hours per day, 7 days per week availability during the standby period.

  • The frequency varies based upon the number of colleagues in the rotation.
