Job Description:
Provide leadership and support the Federal Electronic Health Records Modernization (FEHRM) office in advancing the deployment of integrated electronic health record (EHR) capabilities across the U.S. Department of War (DoW) and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) enterprise environments. Manage teams and engage stakeholders in the development of analyses and plans related to the deployment of an electronic health records system at DoW and VA facilities that share services, technology or infrastructure. Design and socialize approaches. Engage in discovery to understand the 'as-is' state. Perform multi-faceted analyses to consider the full breadth of ramifications of potential 'to-be' changes. Work seamlessly in a team environment. Support the development of schedules. Develop and perform executive briefings on status, challenges and opportunities.
Minimum qualifications:
10+ years of professional work experience
Experience managing Information Technology related projects
Well versed in life cycle and project management methodologies
Experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance progress
Able to identify and mitigate risks.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in the VA or DoW
Experience implementing electronic health records
