Their duties often include conducting literature reviews, collecting and analyzing data, developing code or algorithms, and assisting with the preparation of academic papers or presentations. This role requires strong technical skills, good communication, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a research team online. Remote assistants may work for universities, research institutes, or private companies on topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, or software engineering.
