Work Requirement: Candidate must be a current resident of SC, NC, or GA.
Project Scope:
We are seeking an experienced EMR Integration Healthcare Consultant to support healthcare IT systems, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), Laboratory Information Systems, PACS, and Pharmacy systems. This role involves implementation, integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of healthcare applications and related interfaces to ensure seamless clinical and operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supportimplementation activities including build, testing, and go-live ofhealthcare systems (EHR, Lab, PACS, Pharmacy)
  • Maintainhealthcare IT infrastructure including applications, databases, templates,and reporting tools
  • Troubleshootand resolve EMR-related issues, including triage, escalation, and rootcause analysis
  • Supportsystem integrations and ensure smooth data flow across healthcareplatforms
  • Developand generate reports for business and clinical users
  • Documentcurrent workflows and processes for medical and mental healthcareproviders
  • Collaboratewith vendors, clinical teams, and technical stakeholders for systemenhancements and support

Required Skills & Experience:
• 7+ years of experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems (preferably NextGen)
• 7+ years of experience with Mirth Connect (Lab Systems / Integration Engine)
• 7+ Years of Experience EMR Integration
• Strong experience in troubleshooting, system support, and healthcare IT environments
• Experience working directly for a State Government Agency
• 7+ Years of Experience with Interoperability and Data Transfer
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with HL7 messaging standards
• Experience with FHIR
• Strong background in EMR integration and interoperability
• NextGen Connect Certification
• EHR Certification
• Practice Management Certification
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Administration, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
