Candidate location: Candidates MUST be a CURRENT resident in the Eastern Time zone. No relocation.
Project Scope:
The Database Administrator (Intermediate) will support enterprise-level reporting, analytics, and data management activities within a government healthcare environment. This role focuses on designing, building, maintaining, and optimizing reports and dashboards using SQL, MySQL, and Power BI while working with large structured and unstructured datasets. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable data insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting & Dashboard Development
  • Design,build, maintain, and modify standard, ad-hoc, and scheduled reports usingSQL and MySQL
  • Develop andmanage interactive dashboards using Power BI
  • Extract,transform, and analyze data from multiple heterogeneous sources
  • Work withlarge-scale datasets to generate business insights and reporting solutions

Data Analysis & Insights
  • Performtrend analysis, performance analysis, and predictive forecasting
  • Apply dataanalytics techniques to support decision-making processes
  • Interpretcomplex datasets and translate findings into meaningful insights forstakeholders

Performance & Business Analytics

Data Management & Optimization
  • Ensureaccuracy, integrity, and efficiency of data extraction and reportingprocesses
  • Optimize SQLqueries and reporting performance for large datasets
  • Maintain andimprove existing reporting systems and data pipelines

General Responsibilities
  • Managemultiple priorities and deliverables effectively
  • Workindependently in ambiguous environments and define clear reportingrequirements

Required Skills & Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in SQL development and querying
• 3+ years of experience in Power BI development
• 3+ years of experience working with large datasets in a government or regulated environment
• 3+ years of experience with Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred Skills:
• Health Information Exchange (HIE) experience
• HL7 messaging standards
• Experience with tools such as Mirth, SQL Squirrel, PACS, CIPS, NextGen EHR, or Epic
• Experience working with correctional or public health systems
• Strong background in healthcare data integration and reporting
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
