As a Virtual Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions via video conferencing to foster personal insight and improve mental health outcomes.
• Encouraging clients to explore their emotions and experiences, helping them to understand their thoughts and feelings in relation to their personal and interpersonal challenges.
• Serving as an advocate for clients, assisting them in setting clear and achievable mental health goals.
• Assessing clients’ mental health statuses and developing effective treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, while drawing upon your clinical expertise.
• Utilizing a solution-focused approach tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, aiming for meaningful progress in therapy.
• Maintaining detailed client records and documentation, while minimizing paperwork requirements through the support of administrative staff.

Our primary client base includes individuals who are prescreened and meet criteria for low-acuity mental health issues. This enables our counselors to provide targeted support for those seeking to manage stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, and other common concerns. By focusing on clients who have stable conditions, our counselors can foster therapeutic relationships that encourage open dialogue and growth.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• An active and independent clinical license as noted below, issued by the state board (no limited or provisional licenses accepted):
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Strong clinical skills, with the ability to make professional evaluations and recommendations for patient treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor, allowing for genuine engagement with clients.
• Proficient computer skills, enabling effective use of digital platforms for session management and documentation.

While not required, prior experience working in a community health setting or with diverse populations is highly desirable. Familiarity with telehealth practices and virtual therapy modalities will be beneficial.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and caseload. Additional benefits include:
