As a Mental Health Therapist at Goheal, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions via video chat to enhance clients' mental well-being.
• Facilitating discussions that allow clients to express their emotions and experiences, guiding them toward increased self-awareness and improved relational dynamics.
• Advocating for clients by helping them identify goals and strategies to achieve them.
• Evaluating clients' mental health conditions and developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, utilizing evidence-based practices and solution-focused approaches.
• Documenting progress and maintaining records in compliance with industry standards, while minimizing administrative burdens and focusing more on client engagement.

Your primary focus will be working with a client population that is prescreened to ensure they are stable and have low acuity needs. This approach not only allows for a more manageable caseload but also enables you to foster meaningful therapeutic alliances as clients engage actively in their mental health journey. Our emphasis on low-acuity cases ensures that you can deliver quality care without the stress of handling crisis situations frequently.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• An independent license (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) issued by the respective state board; limited or provisional licenses are not accepted.
• Strong ability to make professional evaluations and clinical decisions to establish effective treatment plans.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that allow for empathetic client engagement.
• Proficient computer skills to navigate telehealth platforms, documentation, and client management systems.
