VOA is seeking a Operations Support Intern to support the Office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This supporting role offers the selected candidate an exciting opportunity to be responsible for driving operational and execution excellence within the office of a C-Suite executive. This position offers tangible work experience in a collaborative environment where the person in this role will receive personalized training & development opportunities to gain core skills for launching and accelerating a professional career. The purpose of this position is to mentor and develop talented individuals with strong leadership potential, strive for excellence, moxie and level of commitment to continuous learning and strategic thinking capability.

This position is part-time (up to 29 hours per week)

Primary Responsibilities:

The COO is an architect, instigator and change champion for the organization and understands how roles & functions (marketing, sales, finance, HR, technology) work in concert to deliver on the mission of the company. In this supporting role, the selected candidate will...

  • Support day-to-day administrative tasks such as data entry, surveys, filing, Quadient expenses and reimbursement processing, filing & documentation for overall operational efficiency
  • Conduct research and due diligence in support of major project-related initiatives and strategies
  • Plan & host cultural and fun office activities
  • Participate in structured learning opportunities aimed at providing a comprehensive understanding of operational processes within VOA. Engage in training sessions and workshops designed to enhance skills relevant to administrative support
  • Assist departmental staff members in their tasks, allowing exposure to various operational facets while working closely under their guidance. This involves shadowing team members, providing assistance where needed, and learning from their expertise
  • Collaborate with the team to identify areas for process enhancement or optimization; Engage in discussions, offer insights, and contribute ideas to streamline administrative workflows for increased efficiency
  • Support ongoing projects within the Operations department by providing administrative assistance, organizing project-related documents, and ensuring seamless communication among team members involved
  • Assist in maintaining communication channels within the department, including responding to inquiries, drafting emails, and updating internal documents or databases
