Job description

AXL Global Consulting is looking for enthusiastic problem solvers to join our Dayforce Human Capital/Workforce Management consulting team. As a Data Consultant, you will be responsible for working with our amazing clients to organize, translate, and transform their Human Capital Management (HCM) data to meet interface and reporting requirements. Data is a critical and complex component of all HCM systems, and a Data Consultant will need strong communication and problem-solving skills to be effective in their role.

You should have a technical mindset and be comfortable problem solving with multiple systems. This is a functional consulting position; however, executing on the data design and flow of software implementations such as System Integration and Report Writing is required.

This is a full-time, remote (USA or Canada) role. 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive analysis activities to interpret data for purposes of migrating to Dayforce HCM
  • Identify, manage, and resolve data-related issues
  • Communicate effectively ensuring deliverables are met and risks identified
  • Create specification documentation detailing data source, translation/mapping, and destination formatting
  • Validate and convert data from legacy HCM systems into Dayforce HCM
  • Build, test, and support XML-based data mapping
  • Collaboration with internal AXL team to assist fellow consultants where needed
  • Execution of multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of data analysis, translation, and/or interface development
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and XML
  • Strong organizational and written communication skills
  • Understanding of Structured Data/Relational Database concepts (MS SQL)
  • Experience with programming languages (examples: Python, Java)
  • Creative problem solving and business judgment
  • Experience working independently without daily supervision
  • Ability to multitask between different projects and clients
  • Dayforce data conversion preferred.
  • Consulting experience preferred
  • Technical degree preferred
