We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team at Global Life Mental Healthcare. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work, enabling you to deliver essential therapeutic services to families in need throughout Baltimore, Maryland. This role focuses on providing impactful therapy to children with developmental disabilities and their families, aiding them in navigating the challenges they face.

About the Organization

Global Life Mental Healthcare is a progressive mental health service provider committed to serving diverse communities. Our mission is to empower families and youth, offering comprehensive mental health support that meets the unique needs of those we serve. We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive environment that champions the well-being of individuals from all backgrounds, especially children facing developmental and intellectual challenges.

Work Environment

This role is designed to be remote, providing you with the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while still making a significant impact in the lives of our clients. You will work closely with a dedicated team of professionals, including social workers, educational consultants, and family support specialists, all focused on delivering holistic care to our patients. Collaboration and communication are key components of our work culture, ensuring that each team member's expertise is valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, primarily in clients' homes, to ensure a supportive environment that fosters personal growth and healing.
  • Implement strategies for managing anger, enhancing coping skills, and promoting social interactions while addressing high-risk behaviors, such as self-injury or physical aggression.
  • Enhance decision-making skills for both youth and their caregivers, assisting them in effectively managing behavioral challenges at home.
  • Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multi-disciplinary professionals to create a comprehensive support system for the client and their family.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including client intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in monthly meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and submit treatment recommendations to improve client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on children and teens aged 3 to 20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will play a critical role in developing and delivering therapeutic interventions that enhance their quality of life and facilitate their integration into the community.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential for this position.
  • Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm) and potential weekend work to accommodate client schedules.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing positive behavioral support and previous work with children of varying ages, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is highly preferred.
  • A valid driverโ€™s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for the remote nature of the job, enabling visits to clients' homes.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a dynamic work environment, our benefits package includes:

  • Comprehensive health coverage for you and your family.
  • Annual paid time off to support your work-life balance.
  • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Short and long-term disability coverage to safeguard your income.
  • Retirement plan options, including a 401k, to support your future financial security.
