Job description

We are seeking a Compensation Partner who is a high performing team player, who can take on new challenges, and go the extra mile.

As a Compensation Partner reporting to the Head of Total Rewards at DigitalOcean, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to revolutionizing cloud computing and AI. You will serve as a compensation advisor for Talent Acquisition and People Business Partners, maintaining core compensation structures and modeling range refreshes. In this role, you will evolve into a key driver of our annual and mid-year performance compensation cycles, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness across our global organization.

What You'll Do:
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and People Business Partners on offer recommendations and compensation guidance below the Director level in order to attract and retain top global talent.
  • Maintain MarketPay benchmarking tools and compensation ranges in order to ensure external competitiveness across all business units.
  • Build complex financial models and conduct deep data analysis in order to support annual salary range refreshes and ad-hoc business requests.
  • Perform ongoing internal equity audits in order to identify and mitigate pay disparities across teams and regions.
  • Program manage annual and mid-year compensation cycles in order to deliver smooth, timely, and accurate merit and equity adjustments.
  • Evaluate job descriptions and job profiles against industry benchmark data in order to align internal roles to market structures.
  • Monitor global technology compensation trends and regulatory requirements in order to maintain compliant, cutting-edge Total Rewards programs.
What You'll Add:
  • Experience partnering directly with Talent Acquisition on candidate offers and advising HR Business Partners on client-facing compensation matters.
  • Expert-level data analysis and quantitative modeling skills using Google Sheets or Excel, with proven experience building compensation frameworks.
  • Direct involvement in managing end-to-end annual compensation planning cycles within a tech or high-growth environment.
  • Experience supporting global compensation programs across multiple international tech hubs and regulatory landscapes.
  • Exceptional relational intelligence and diplomacy, enabling you to build trust and navigate sensitive pay discussions across cross-functional teams.
  • A growth mindset with a strong appetite for feedback, high attention to detail, and a "leave it better than you found it" approach.
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification via WorldatWork is a plus.
