About Our Organization

This position supports several behavioral health programs within the Advanced Recovery Systems family. Advanced Recovery Systems is the parent organization of Promises Behavioral Health, The Right Step, and The Ranch, bringing together established treatment brands with a shared commitment to expanding access to high-quality, evidence-based addiction and mental health care.

In this role, you will be part of a larger, growing organization focused on improving patient outcomes, supporting our employees and strengthening the communities we serve.

The Payroll Administrator works effectively with the leadership team to ensure the success of the facility by completing the following:

CORE JOB DUTIES:

1.      Processing payroll and auditing the employee database regarding salary and pay.

2.      Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures and policies, including payroll functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.

3.      Audit status change information in the ADP Payroll software to ensure employee information is accurate and up to date.

OTHER REQUIRED TASKS:

  • Support the Payroll Director in all aspects of payroll.
  • Communicate with corporate and facility departments to increase payroll service performance and improve upon the payroll system and processes.
  • Assist in month end close process.
  • Assist in Accounting Department projects, including but not limited to payroll projects.
  • Assist in audits, including but not limited to the annual financial statement audit, annual 401k audit and workers’ compensation audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Full-Time | M-F 8a-5p | 100% Remote

Requirements

Education:

  • Minimum associate’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • In lieu of Associate’s Degree, minimum 5 years’ payroll experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum five years’ experience in payroll position. Experience in Health/Behavioral Health related organization a plus. Experience in payroll with multi-states including California is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in ADP WorkforceNow preferred
