As a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in mental health, your major responsibilities will encompass a variety of therapeutic services to young adults aged 18 to 30. These include:

• Group Therapy: Lead engaging group therapy sessions that foster connection, support, and shared learning among participants, facilitating discussions that address their personal experiences and collective growth.
• Individual Therapy: Provide personalized, empathetic therapy sessions that guide clients in exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Develop individualized coping strategies and action plans tailored to their unique life circumstances.
• Therapy Planning: Collaborate with clients to design customized therapeutic programs that target specific goals and preferences, ensuring a personalized approach that resonates with each individual.
• Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document client progress using a range of evaluation tools and feedback mechanisms to adjust treatment plans effectively and support client outcomes.

Your focus will be on young adults confronting various mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. The clients we serve are navigating critical life transitions and are in need of supportive interventions that empower them to overcome challenges and build a sustainable foundation for their future.

• A master's degree in a relevant field such as counseling, psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
• An active and valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure to practice therapy and counseling.
• Prior experience working with diverse client populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings, demonstrating familiarity with various therapeutic modalities.
• Strong collaborative spirit, demonstrating a commitment to working as part of a multidisciplinary team driven to effect positive change within our community.
• Excellent therapeutic skills, proficient in techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavior therapy, ensuring effective client care.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in trauma-informed care, youth empowerment methodologies, or community-focused mental health initiatives will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and teletherapy platforms is also beneficial.
