Job description

Director, Market Development
Location: Remote
Company: VB Spine
Looking for a career where your impact goes beyond the sale? At VB Spine, our Market Development team plays a critical role in expanding our footprint, strengthening surgeon relationships, and building high-performing sales teams across the country. We're looking for a strategic, relationship-driven leader who thrives in the field and knows how to drive growth in a competitive environment.
As a Market Development Manager, you'll partner closely with Sales Leadership, Regional Managers, and field teams to open new opportunities, influence key stakeholders, and accelerate market expansion. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on revenue growth, talent acquisition, and long-term success across your geography.
What You'll Do:
  • Drive market expansion by building and strengthening relationships with both KOL and community surgeons
  • Partner with Regional Managers and field sales teams to identify and execute growth opportunities across assigned territories
  • Act as a brand ambassador for VB Spine, confidently telling our story and representing our legacy in spine
Open doors to new surgeon and hospital relationships, supporting sales teams in gaining access and increasing case volume
  • Mentor and influence direct reps and distributor partners to elevate performance and consistency across markets
  • Collaborate cross-functionally - working up, across, and down the organization to align strategy and execution
  • Identify, recruit, and help onboard top spine sales talent to strengthen market presence
  • Develop and manage target lists focused on surgeon engagement, competitive conversions, and revenue growth
  • Analyze opportunities to ensure strong ROI and market viability, taking ownership of outcomes and follow-through
  • Engage in the field through cases, meetings, and industry events to drive visibility and credibility

What You Bring:
  • 8+ years of sales experience within the Spine industry
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive business growth
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze markets and identify opportunities
  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Experience working independently with a high level of accountability and ownership
  • Ability to navigate complex environments and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar)
  • Willingness to travel 50-70%

Why VB Spine?
We're building something special - and we're doing it with intention. At VB Spine, you'll have the opportunity to shape markets, influence strategy, and work alongside a team that values ownership, collaboration, and growth. This role offers the autonomy of the field with the support of a leadership team that's invested in your success.
Compensation:
Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, with additional factors like territory requirements, qualifications, and performance taken into account. The typical pay range for this position is$200,000 - $250,000 annually, with potential for bonuses and incentives plus benefits.
VB Spine reserves the right to offer compensation outside of this listed range. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers a variety of factors including experience level, skillset, and market conditions.
Benefits include:
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off (PTO) and holidays
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
  • Opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, dynamic company
