The Opportunity:
Key to an organization's growth is strong stakeholder communication that represents and supports its mission, values, and objectives. As a communications professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and help promote an organization's desired reputation. We're looking for an experienced communications specialist like you, who is ready to grow and willing to win for the Marine Corps and live our mission every day. Here, you'll advance your skills to design, develop, produce, and advise on a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that supports the Marine Corps.
As a communications specialist on our team, you'll closely impact the development of creative solutions to complex problems. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to advance the Marine Corps story, prepare senior leader talking points, shape media engagements, and support policy development.
As a collaborator on all aspects of oral and written communications, you'll author engagement strategies, talking points, and briefs. Your creative-thinking will guide communications to inform key audiences through words, images, and sound with tools like Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva.

You Have:
  • Experience with media analysis and making strategy recommendations based on insights derived
  • Experience developing communication strategies and plans
  • Experience with graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva
  • Ability to draft, edit and refine a wide variety of written communication products
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and quick-turnaround timelines
  • Ability to work independently, managing ambiguity and being a self-starter
  • Ability to work closely with and regularly collaborate with client leadership
  • Ability to develop basic graphic designed products, such as slide decks, posters, and workflow charts
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience with communications or 5+ years experience with communications in lieu of a degree

  • Experience with media monitoring and associated analytics tools, and synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations for senior leaders
  • Experience briefing senior Marine Corps or Department of War leaders
  • Ability to plan ahead in order to effectively manage portfolio

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
