As an Estimator, you will play a key role in bringing customer projects to life by analyzing specifications, calculating production costs, and developing accurate, competitive estimates for a wide range of commercial printing projects. Working closely with sales, customer service, and production teams, you will help ensure every job is planned for success from concept to completion while delivering exceptional value and service to our customers.What You'll Do:
  • Review and analyze customer specifications to prepare time and cost of estimates for materials, labor, and outside vendors.
  • Analyze documentation to prepare time, cost, material and labor estimates.
  • Ability to calculate the quality of paper, ink, plates, and time to complete each job.
  • Presents all estimates in writing, clearly written, unambiguous with all components of job factored into costs.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Planners, CSR's, customers, vendors, and internal production departments efficient cost options, production processes to include equipment, delivery, and recommend changes or improvements based on parameters, volume, and cost.
  • Collaborates with Production Planner to engineer the best production plan to compile estimated costs that will be both competitive to the customer and can be used running the job.
  • Assist in comparison of original estimate to actual cost sheet, investigating and explaining substantial discrepancies between estimating standards and plant performance.
  • Obtain competitive pricing from unaffiliated vendors for materials and services as needed including quotes from multiple sources for comparison.
What You Bring:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial printing, packaging, direct mail, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Experienced CSR and print professionals encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of paper grades, substrates, printing processes, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret job specifications and production requirements.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with estimating software, ERP/MIS systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and profitability.

Physical Requirements:
Walking 80% | Standing 20% | Lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying 50 lbs. and more | Lifting 25-50 lbs. consistently.
