POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Scheduler develops, maintains, and updates project schedules for owner’s representative engagements on utility-scale wind, solar, and battery-energy-storage (BESS) projects, as a member of EPP’s Project Controls Solutions (PCS) team. On behalf of the owner, the Project Scheduler builds detailed schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, tracks progress, and produces the schedule analysis and reporting that keep the owner’s projects on track.

This is a client-facing, billable delivery role. Reporting to the Director – Resource Solutions and often working alongside project managers and senior schedulers, the Project Scheduler analyzes contractor schedules, updates project progress, and applies EPP’s project controls standards throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Schedule Development & Maintenance

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including Integrated Master Schedules, in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Update schedules to reflect approved changes in scope, timeline, and resources.
  • Conduct periodic schedule updates by coordinating with project teams to gather the necessary information.

Schedule Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze current schedules against established baselines; identify critical path, variances, and potential conflicts.
  • Support schedule risk analysis, what-if scenarios, and variance reporting.
  • Prepare schedule updates and reports for project managers and stakeholders using dashboards and standardized reports.

Contractor Schedule Support & Integrity

  • Review contractor and EPC schedules and provide analysis and feedback to the project team.
  • Maintain schedule documentation, activity coding, and WBS integrity.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of schedule information shared across the project team.

Coordination & Standards

  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, project management, and other project stakeholders.
  • Apply EPP’s project controls standards, procedures, and scheduling process.
  • Support senior schedulers and project managers on scheduling activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of project scheduling or project controls experience in the energy, construction, or engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project; working knowledge of Procore and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the United States.

Preferred

  • Renewable-energy scheduling experience (wind, solar, or BESS).
  • Familiarity with schedule risk analysis, earned value, and reporting/BI tools.
  • PMI-SP, AACE PSP, or PMP certification (or progress toward one); Deltek Vantagepoint or Smartsheet experience.
