Job Description
Experian is looking for a Vice President of Dev Platform Engineering to lead the strategy and direction for its enterprise developer platform and AI-powered engineering capabilities. You will define the standards, roadmap, and governance for software delivery platforms, developer tooling, and AI solutions that improve how engineering teams build and deliver software across the company.
This is a Remote position. You will report to the Head of DevEx & AI Tooling.
You will have opportunity to:
  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for the enterprise developer platform and AI engineering capabilities.
  • Define standards for CI/CD, cloud platforms, developer tooling, and secure software delivery.
  • Guide the adoption of AI-enabled software development tools, governance, and reusable AI solutions.
  • Partner with engineering, security, cloud, and developer experience teams to deliver a consistent platform.
  • Manage a global organization through senior leaders and develop high-performing engineering teams.
  • Own platform performance, adoption metrics, budgets, vendor investments, and product priorities.
  • Establish engineering standards that improve software delivery speed, quality, security, and developer experience.
  • Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions and drive continuous improvement across the engineering platform.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years in technology roles
  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles
  • Senior Leadership experience in Platform Engineering
  • Hands-on depth, even if not current day-to-day: CI/CD platform authoring (Harness and/or GitHub Actions)
  • Cloud-native infrastructure at production scale in at least one major provider
  • Implementation-level familiarity with Claude Code and the MCP protocol
  • Working familiarity with security tooling concepts (SAST, SCA, secrets scanning, SBOM, artifact signing) sufficient to direct integration work and partner effectively with a dedicated security team
  • Experience defining engineering standards and developer platforms within large, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience owning or leading the use of AI developer tools, AI governance, and modern software development practices.
