IntroductionBe part of the team that drives our company forward, transforming ideas into real-world tools and platforms that support the business and spur innovation.

Overview

Are you a visionary cloud leader who thrives at the intersection of technology, strategy, and customer success? Do you enjoy helping enterprise organizations modernize their infrastructure, accelerate innovation, and achieve meaningful business outcomes through cloud technologies?

Connection is seeking a Principal Cloud Solution Architect to join our Cloud Center of Excellence. In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, helping them navigate complex cloud transformation initiatives across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform. You will collaborate closely with executive stakeholders, sales leaders, and technical teams to architect innovative solutions that drive business value and long-term cloud adoption.

What We Do:

We calm the confusion of IT by guiding the connection between people and technology. If a customer is looking for a better way to manage their warehouse inventory, equip their workforce, or secure their data, we make it happen. All it takes is finding the right combination of tech hardware, software, cloud solutions, and support services. That’s what we do. We’re the IT Department’s IT Department.

Who We Are:

Our team is made stronger by a multitude of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. It’s what makes Connection unique—what drives us to innovate and create technology solutions that stand apart from the crowd. We’d love for you to be a part of that fabric, to share your ideas and experiences with a team that thrives on fresh thinking, creativity, and helping others.

Why You Should Join Us:

You’ll find supportive teammates and a rewarding career at Connection—plus great benefits. We take pride in supporting employees with a total rewards package that provides financial, emotional, and physical resources for you and your family. Our compensation, 401k plans, medical insurance, and other benefits are progressive and competitive. We value the importance of our employees’ emotional well-being. To support employees, we provide free therapy visits, mental health coaching and tools, and meditation resources. You’ll also enjoy a generous paid time off package that includes not only vacation and sick time, but also Wellness and Volunteer Time Off days.

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

As a Principal Cloud Solution Architect, you will help define technology strategies for some of the most complex client environments. You won't simply recommend solutions, you'll guide organizations through modernization journeys, influence key technology decisions, and mentor fellow architects while helping shape the future of Connection's cloud practice.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with enterprise clients to understand their business objectives, application portfolios, and technology strategies.
  • Design and architect cloud solutions leveraging Azure, AWS, GCP, hybrid cloud, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Lead strategic discovery sessions and solution workshops with executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Develop cloud modernization roadmaps that align technology investments with business outcomes.
  • Guide clients through large-scale cloud migrations, application modernization, DevOps adoption, and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and optimized for long-term success.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior IT leaders and decision-makers.
  • Support pre-sales engagements, solution positioning, and RFP responses.
  • Mentor architects and contribute to the continued growth of Connection's Cloud Center of Excellence.
  • Stay ahead of emerging cloud technologies, market trends, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, enterprise infrastructure, application modernization, or related technical consulting roles.
  • Current cloud certifications in Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud.
  • Proven success leading complex cloud transformation and migration projects.
