Allied Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor to be a key member of our mental health care team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments through digital consultations, documenting each client’s mental, emotional, and behavioral health from the first meeting to treatment conclusion.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that address the diverse needs of clients, ensuring strategies are appropriately tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions using a variety of therapeutic modalities to promote mental wellness.
  • Monitor and track client progress within treatment plans regularly, adjusting strategies as necessary to align with their evolving needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to enhance the quality of care delivered to clients.
  • Follow up with clients who have been hospitalized to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions back into outpatient treatment.
  • Identify and actively mitigate behaviors that interfere with recovery, employing preventive strategies to enhance client resilience.
  • Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding mental health challenges, empowering them with the knowledge to support their loved ones effectively.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will provide support to a diverse array of clients, ranging from adolescents to adults, experiencing various mental health issues. Your expertise will be crucial in addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, ensuring that each individual receives tailored support to improve their well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid licensure as an LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) is mandatory.
  • You must have successfully passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills and empathy.
  • Proficient utilization of electronic health records (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, is desirable.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated previous experience in a mental health counseling role.
  • Ability to navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges, including experience with addiction and co-occurring disorders.
  • Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Adept knowledge of pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical professionals.
