About the role
Our client is a US-based technology company focused on driving the next generation of vehicle and mobile technologies.
For them, we are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer.
The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving scalable, secure, and highly available CI/CD and infrastructure automation platforms. This role goes beyond task execution and focuses on architectural decision-making, operational excellence, and mentorship, enabling engineering teams to deliver reliable software rapidly and safely.
You will partner closely with platform engineering, SRE, security, and QA to define standards, eliminate operational toil, and continuously improve system reliability, observability, and deployment maturity. You will report to the Sr. DevOps Manager.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as a technical leader and primary liaison between application development, infrastructure, security, and SRE teams
  • Architect, implement, and maintain highly available CI/CD pipelines supporting multiple environments (ephemeral, staging, pre-production, production)
  • Lead the automation of infrastructure, deployments, and operational workflows, reducing manual effort and improving consistency
  • Design and implement cloud-native monitoring, alerting, and observability strategies using cloud APIs and third-party tooling
  • Maintain runbooks and operational documentation
  • Identify systemic issues and proactively improve reliability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
  • Influence and define Platform DevOps best practices, standards, and guardrails across the organization
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
  • Evaluate new tools, technologies, and patterns, making recommendations aligned with business and engineering goals

What We're Looking For
  • You must live in Latin America (basically anywhere in the Americas except Canada and the USA)
  • A strong level of English, both spoken and written
  • 5-7 years of professional DevOps, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering experience
  • 4+ years designing, building, and operating CI/CD pipelines at scale (CircleCI is required. GitHub Actions also in use).
  • 4+ years supporting and operating mission-critical production environments
  • 3+ years of Infrastructure as Code experience, primarily using Terraform Cloud
  • 4+ years of public cloud experience, with deep expertise in AWS
  • Strong experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms (e.g., Datadog preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience leading or significantly contributing to large-scale platform or migration initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Database Reliability Engineering: Demonstrates operational experience with PostgreSQL, specifically focusing on performance tuning, reliability considerations, and ensuring data integrity in high-traffic environments.
  • Version Control & Workflow Strategy: Holds an expert-level understanding of Git-based workflows and complex branching strategies, facilitating seamless code integration and collaboration across engineering teams.
  • Agile Delivery & Developer Enablement: Possesses strong knowledge of Agile delivery models (Scrum, Kanban) with a specific focus on optimizing pipelines and processes to enable maximum developer velocity and release frequency.
