The Performance & Quality Engineering Team under Enterprise Engineering is a cross-functional organization of engineers, quality advocates, and technology leaders dedicated to advancing software quality, performance, and resiliency across the enterprise.

The team's vision is to enable engineering excellence across the enterprise by advancing quality engineering maturity, accelerating automation adoption, and providing modern platforms, frameworks, and practices that embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

The team partners closely with Solution Delivery, Platform teams, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Security teams to deliver capabilities in Performance Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Test Data Management. What You Will Do

As a Staff Engineer - Enterprise Test Data Management, you will serve as a lead engineer and subject matter expert for TJX's Enterprise Test Data Management platform.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a technical expert for the K2View Test Data Management (TDM) platform and all enterprise test data management capabilities.
  • Design, develop, Test, configure, and support scalable TDM solutions across relational, non-relational and cloud databases
  • Partner with product teams to understand test data challenges and implement solutions that can scale, and eliminate test data bottlenecks, and optimize the data management across the software development life cycle
  • Develop reusable patterns, templates, and best practices that simplify adoption of enterprise test data management capabilities.
  • Collaborate or Partner with architecture, Security, Infrastructure and other enterprise stakeholders to align and implement all relevant non-functional requirements, data integrity and compliance standards
  • Lead the technical onboarding and integration process for the new product teams or applications onto the Enterprise TDM platform.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide guidance on test data architecture, data integrity, and performance optimization.
  • Enable seamless integration of test data capabilities with test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and other enterprise engineering tools.
  • Drive platform enhancements, automation opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical mentorship, documentation and training to the engineers and project teams working with test data management solutions.
  • Stay current on emerging Test Data Management technologies, industry trends, evolving data privacy regulations and K2View platform capabilities.

What You Will Need

We are looking for someone with hands-on experience implementing and supporting enterprise Test Data Management solutions. You should be comfortable working directly with engineers, architects, quality engineers, and delivery teams to solve complex data challenges and enable modern testing practices.

  • 5+ years of experience in designing, developing and implementing test data management, Data Engineering solutions for relational, non-relational and cloud databases
  • At least 2+ yrs of experience in designing, implementing, configuration and supporting test data management solutions using K2ViewPlatform
  • 5+ years of strong database and programming experience using Java, Python, SQL, NoSQL and ETL technologies (including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL etc.,)
  • Proficiency in data extraction, entity-based provisioning, Subsetting, synthetic data generation, combined with expert knowledge of global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and advanced data masking, obfuscation, and tokenization techniques to protect PII
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise applications and complex data ecosystems
  • Solid experience with Rest APIs, data integrations, and distributed application architectures
  • Hands-on experience building the CI/CD pipeline jobs to automate data provisioning, generating synthetic data and other features within delivery workflow
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical and data-related problems
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with good communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in creating technical documentation, standards, and implementation guidelines
  • Ability to mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • K2View certification or equivalent test data management implementation experience
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Experience with data privacy, masking, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with enterprise DevOps and CI/CD toolchains
  • Good understanding of the SDLC processes, Quality Engineering practices and test automation tools and frameworks
  • Experience supporting large-scale retail, supply chain, finance, or ERP systems
  • Knowledge of AI enabled intelligent test data generation capabilities
