What is a remote closer?

Remote closers are sales professionals who specialize in closing deals or sales transactions over the phone, video calls, or other online communication platforms, rather than meeting with clients in person. They typically work from home or any remote location and are often employed by companies offering high-ticket products or services. Remote closers are skilled at building rapport, handling objections, and guiding potential clients through the final steps of the sales process to secure a commitment. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills, as well as the ability to work independently.

What does a remote closer do?

A remote closer is a sales representative who is responsible for getting clients to commit to the sale. They typically contact the customer after another salesperson has established a relationship with the client. As a remote closer, you usually do not meet with clients in person; you perform your job duties at home or from another location outside of the office with internet connectivity. Your responsibilities include identifying the issues that are preventing the sale, discussing the advantages of the product or service you are selling, using proven techniques to influence the customer towards accepting the offer, and negotiating a final contract or agreement. Strong negotiation skills are required to succeed in this career.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a remote closer?

To thrive as a Remote Closer, you need strong sales acumen, persuasive communication skills, and a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas, often supported by experience in remote or inside sales roles. Familiarity with CRM software, virtual meeting platforms, and digital sales tools is typically required. Outstanding active listening, resilience, and self-motivation help candidates excel in building rapport and handling objections remotely. These skills are crucial for driving conversions and maintaining client relationships without face-to-face interaction.

What are some common challenges remote closers face when working with potential clients?

Remote Closers often encounter challenges such as building rapport and trust with clients without face-to-face interaction, managing time zone differences, and maintaining motivation while working independently. Overcoming objections and effectively communicating value can be more difficult when relying solely on digital communication channels. To succeed, Remote Closers need strong listening skills, adaptability, and the ability to leverage virtual tools to create a personalized experience for each prospect.

What is the difference between Remote Closer vs Remote Sales Representative?

Are remote closer jobs legit?

Remote closer jobs are legitimate sales positions where individuals work remotely to finalize sales and generate revenue for companies. However, job seekers should verify the company's credibility, review the job description carefully, and be cautious of scams that request upfront payments or personal information. Conducting research and reading reviews can help ensure the opportunity is genuine.

Job description

Fulfilling, Remote, Six-Figure Earning Potential New Business Development / Sales Consultant Position (Home Services and Trades Recruiting)
About Trustal Recruiting

Who We Are

At Trustal Recruiting, we believe small businesses are the backbone of America. Every thriving home services company starts with people who care about their craft and community. We help owners build dependable, skilled teams so they can grow confidently and live out the American Dream.

Our Vision

To become the most trusted recruitment partner for small to mid-sized home service companies nationwide - helping business owners grow their teams, their culture, and their impact for years to come. We are fortunate to work with large, well-known home service brands and organizations across the US.

Our Culture & Values

We are actively moving towards operating on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) principles - meaning we value structure, clear Scorecards, weekly Level 10 (L10) remote team meetings, and mutual accountability. We run our business by three non-negotiable core values: Integrity, Joy, and Commitment. And, we tie these directly to our daily KPIs so that we can live them for each other and our clients every day.

Who You Are

You are a disciplined, self-motivated Sales Consultant with a proven track record selling B2B. You have a background working in home service organizations, working with, and/or selling products or services to home service business owners / clients (roofing, siding, plumbing, electrical, remodeling, restoration, HVAC etc.)

You possess a unique combination of drive, relationship-building skills, and operational discipline. You love structure and proven processes.

  • The Hunter Mentality: You aren't afraid of the phone. You love research, cold outreach, and pushing through activity goals to build a thick sales pipeline. For you a “no” - is one step closer to your next “yes.”

  • The Consultative Approach: Once you get an owner on the phone, your hyper-competitive drive shifts into a warm, helpful, and advisory conversation. You understand the labor headaches trade owners face and build instant trust.

  • Detail-Oriented & Thorough: You take full ownership of your pipeline, see things through to completion, and act as a proactive problem solver who leaves no detail behind in the CRM.

  • Positive, Friendly & Team Player: You bring a joyful, encouraging attitude to work every day, embodying our values and collaborating seamlessly with our remote team.

  • Self-Disciplined & Routine-Driven: Nobody needs to micromanage you to hit your numbers. You thrive in a 100% remote setting with a structured schedule, hit daily metrics, and live by the motto: "Book 2, Make 2."

Qualifications

  • Location & Work Setting: 100% Remote position. Greater Atlanta area preferred for occasional local networking and connection.

  • Required Experience: 4+ years of successful B2B sales experience as a Sales Consultant selling to home services or trade contractors (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Roofing, etc.).

  • CRM Experience: Strong proficiency leveraging a CRM to manage sales pipelines, track activities, and follow up effectively is highly preferred (experience with Recruiterflow or similar recruiting ATS/CRM platforms is a major plus!).

  • Proven track record of being detail-oriented, thorough, taking ownership, and seeing tasks through to completion.

  • Comfortable with cold calling, cold video/SMS outreach, and consultative selling.

  • Positive, friendly demeanor and strong team-player mindset suited for remote collaboration.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience or familiarity with EOS (Level 10 meetings, Scorecards, Rocks) is a major plus.

Compensation, Benefits and More

  • $85,000 - $115,000 / year OTE (on-target-earnings)

  • Base Pay: $41,600 / year

  • Commission Pay: Generous, clear, easy to track

  • Quarterly Bonuses: Totaling up to $10,000 / year

  • PTO

  • 6 Paid Holidays

  • 401K

  • Opportunity to grow into a sales management position within 12 months

  • Fun, rewarding position that has a direct impact on our clients’ business growth and goals

  • Remote position, primarily remote with occasional local travel

A Sample Schedule for Success

We provide a clear framework so you can focus on winning from your home office. Below is an example of a typical day designed to keep your pipeline full and hit your conversion targets. Please note that this is a sample schedule - there may be additional Intro or Discovery calls depending on the day, with an average of 3 appointments per day. Additionally, you will attend networking meetings 1–3 times per month to build industry relationships.

  • 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Targeted prospect research and high-energy outreach (cold calls, personalized emails, and SMS follow-ups).

  • 10:30 AM – 11:30 PM: 1-Hour Client Appointment (Intro Call or Post-Sale Discovery Call).

  • 11:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Pipeline updates, setting tasks in the CRM, and follow-ups.

  • 1:30 PM- 2:30 PM: Lunch
  • 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM: 1-Hour Client Appointment (Intro Call or Post-Sale Discovery Call).

  • 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM: Prospecting, lead qualification, and afternoon outreach to secure upcoming appointments.

  • 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM: 1-Hour Client Appointment (Intro Call or Post-Sale Discovery Call).

The Daily Core Cadence: "Book 2, Make 2"

On average, you will run 3 appointments per day. Your standard goal is to conduct 2 Intro Calls and book 2 future Intro Calls daily, in addition to conducting scheduled post-sale Discovery Calls for newly signed clients.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Execute Intro Calls (1 Hour): Conduct Intro Calls to introduce Trustal Recruiting, assess mutual fit, and open new sales opportunities with home services business owners.

  • Execute Post-Sale Discovery Calls (1 Hour): Once a client comes on board and signs an agreement, you will conduct thorough Discovery Calls (typically 2 to 4 per week) to dive deep into their specific hiring needs, culture, and job requirements so our recruitment team can seamlessly execute the search.

  • Hit the Daily "Book 2, Make 2" Standard: Consistently make Intro Calls and book new Intro Calls each day while averaging 3 total appointments daily.

  • Engage in Weekly Remote Team Meetings: Actively participate in weekly video connection and L10 operational meetings to review Scorecards, align on goals, and celebrate wins.

  • Networking & Community Engagement: Attend industry or local networking meetings 1–3 times per month to build brand presence and prospect relationships.

  • Manage Pipeline Categorization: Maintain an active list of 70+ "C-List" long-term leads and 30+ "A/B-List" warm/hot prospects in our CRM (Recruiterflow).

  • Multi-Channel Outreach: Execute structured follow-up cadences (Calls, Emails, LinkedIn, SMS) to re-engage past contacts and convert C-List leads into active meetings.

  • Ownership & Values: Be thorough, detail-oriented, take complete ownership of your process, and align daily outreach with Integrity, Joy, and Commitment.
