Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to understand client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Deliver effective evidence-based psychotherapy, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) across various formats including individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in alignment with ethical and legal guidelines, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, nurses, and fellow social workers, referring clients to additional community resources when necessary.
  • Participate actively in clinical team meetings and case consultations to enhance treatment strategies and share insights.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of the latest trends and methodologies in social work and mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues, which may include anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. You will be tasked with providing compassionate support and developing personalized therapeutic strategies tailored to each client's unique challenges and recovery journeys. As you cultivate rapport with clients, you will play a critical role in their healing process, helping to foster resilience and empowerment.

Qualifications
  • Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of New Jersey is required.
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience post-licensure is preferred, demonstrating hands-on experience in therapeutic settings.
  • Proficiency in utilizing telehealth technology for delivering therapy services effectively.
  • Strong clinical judgment, exceptional communication skills, and cultural humility are essential for building strong therapeutic relationships.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialized training or certifications in trauma-informed care, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), or other therapeutic modalities will be considered an asset.
  • Bilingual capabilities, especially in Spanish, are highly desirable but not mandatory.
