Monday - Friday, day shift

Job Responsibilities

Data Management Leadership & Client Support

  • Perform all Data Management functions, including:
    • Engaging with client data management teams during study start-up activities.
    • Serving as the primary liaison between Clinical Data Management (CDM), sponsors, and other Labcorp departments and business units.
    • Developing and maintaining standard data transfer specifications in accordance with client requirements, internal procedures, and regulatory standards.
    • Providing ongoing study support and maintenance throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Maintaining current knowledge of data management best practices through continuous training and professional development.
    • Ensuring uninterrupted, high-quality client service.
    • Documenting data transfer activities and maintaining study portfolios to support workload tracking, productivity monitoring, and reporting.
    • Performing additional data management responsibilities as outlined in the Data Management function and assigned by leadership.

Global Data Management Operations

  • Ensure seamless integration and delivery of global data management services across projects and regions.
  • Establish and promote cross-functional collaboration mechanisms that enhance communication, accountability, and understanding of deliverables within CDM and across Labcorp departments and business units.
  • Serve as the primary strategic Data Management representative between assigned sponsors and Labcorp, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor, coach, and support team members while providing performance feedback related to data management responsibilities to the appropriate Team Manager.
  • Facilitate team success by:
    • Supporting execution plans to meet customer commitments and project deliverables.
    • Assisting with training and presentation readiness.
    • Coordinating educational and knowledge-sharing sessions.
    • Overseeing day-to-day project-related activities, as appropriate.

Client Engagement, Audits & Compliance

  • Lead preparation and ensure readiness for client visits, bid defenses, audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders as required.
  • Support and coach team members to ensure effective participation in client-facing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.

Strategic & Operational Excellence

  • Review and provide recommendations regarding non-standard service offerings and customized client solutions.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and operational efficiency by:
    • Leading and actively participating in departmental initiatives and projects.
    • Identifying process improvement opportunities and recommending innovative solutions.
    • Driving consistency in the implementation of global processes and procedures.
    • Acting as a change advocate for process improvements and organizational initiatives.
    • Demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and commitment to Labcorp values.
    • Supporting and ensuring compliance with Clinical Data Management strategy and objectives.

Operational Support

  • Provide operational leadership coverage in the absence of the Team Manager.
  • Maintain an appropriate study workload to support business needs and provide backup coverage for other Data Managers when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years or more experience in Data Management or Associate degree with 4 years or more experience in Data Management and/or Leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years' experience working professionally for or with Data Management at Labcorp
