Hybrid-based position in Dublin, OH or Indianapolis, IN but willing to consider a remote hire.

Your new role

As our new Lead Consultant, Air Quality Professional, you will be part of our interdisciplinary team serving clients across Midwest and globally. This group consists of people who are passionate about air quality and assisting Ramboll's clients with their most challenging problems. You will work with all levels of expertise from entry-level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. Consultants and Managers are part of a continual learning environment where they learn through coaching, mentoring and on-the-job tasks.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Estimating air emissions and conducting engineering evaluations of air pollution sources.
  • Preparing air quality permit applications and negotiating draft permit terms and conditions with applicable regulating entities.
  • Working as a team to contribute technical skills on complex projects, and contributing to proposal preparation, technical presentations and client meetings.
  • Conducting site visits to industrial facilities as may be required to understand operations, gather data/information, and inform the evaluations described above.
  • Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
Qualifications

About you

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering with the ability to obtain or already have a Professional Engineer license.
  • 5+ years of experience as above including proposal writing, report writing, project management and client development skills
  • Strong computing skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing
  • Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage technically complex projects

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,029 - $102,536 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
