Job description

Miami Family Law Group is seeking an experienced Florida Probate Litigation Attorney to manage sophisticated probate, trust, and estate disputes from pre-suit strategy through resolution, settlement, or trial.

This is a senior-level role for an attorney who already understands probate litigation and wants the autonomy to manage cases independently within a well-supported, organized practice. You'll work directly with clients, lead litigation strategy, conduct depositions and hearings, and collaborate with experienced attorneys and support staff - without micromanagement or unnecessary bureaucracy.

Our probate litigation practice handles contested estate and trust matters involving fiduciary disputes, inheritance conflicts, undue influence claims, and high-conflict family dynamics.

This is a fully remote position for attorneys licensed and based in Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Manage probate, estate, and trust litigation matters from start to finish
  • Advise clients on case strategy, risk, and next steps
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and related legal documents
  • Represent clients in hearings, court proceedings, and negotiations
  • Collaborate with probate administration team when litigation matters overlap with active estate administration.
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other tools
  • Work closely with support staff to maintain organized files, meet deadlines, and move cases forward
  • Support efficient case resolution while maintaining high service standards

Requirements

Required:

  • Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
  • 5+ years of direct Florida probate litigation experience
  • Significant experience handling contested probate matters, trust disputes, hearings, depositions, and motion practice
  • Ability to independently manage active litigation matters from intake through resolution
  • Strong courtroom presence, legal writing, and client advisory skills

Preferred:

  • Experience handling complex probate or trust disputes
  • Experience with probate administration
  • Estate planning experience is a plus

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement
  • PTO + CLE budget for continuing education
