Job description

LHH is assisting one of the largest law firms in Texas exclusively practicing Family Law seek a Family Law Paralegal for their new office in Flower Mound, TX. The paralegal will work closely with a Flower Mound Partner to support the firm's clients in a manner that is consistent with our core values and vision. The right candidate must have 5+ years of Texas Family Law experience along with attention to detail, strong organizational and drafting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
Compensation & Benefits:
• Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 DOE
• Mostly remote except for trial prep will be onsite. Starting 4 days remote and eventually going to 3 days remote.
• Annual bonuses
• Full benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, holidays and a full week off between December 25th - January 1st
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and orders for review, approval, and use by the attorney.
• Correspond with clients, opposing counsel and/or opposing parties, and court coordinators.
• Prepare spreadsheets and documents for Inventory and Appraisement and calculate child support.
• File pleadings with the court.
• Coordinate issuance and delivery of subpoenas.
• Conduct intake calls with potential new clients and prepare attorneys for initial consultation.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for mediations, depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences.
• Assist attorneys in analyzing and resolving problems/challenges that arise in family law cases.
• Draft discovery requests/responses, assist clients in complying with discovery requests and document production.
• Calendar relevant due dates regarding discovery and all deadlines associated with the TRCP.
Job requirements:
• Undergraduate degree preferred but not required
• Paralegal certificate or certification preferred but not required
• 5+ years of Texas Family Law experience
• Solid understanding of the Texas Family Code and the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with superior attention to detail
• Excellent prioritization, problem solving and time management skills
