In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be tasked with:

• Providing personalized, trauma-informed counseling for individuals, couples, and families, tailored to their unique needs.
• Integrating Christian counseling principles into therapy sessions for those clients who seek a faith-based approach.
• Developing and implementing thorough treatment plans based on client assessments, goals, and progress.
• Delivering counseling services to clients referred from local churches, cultivating partnerships that enhance our outreach.
• Actively participating in community outreach initiatives to build your caseload and develop new referral networks.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary professionals, including social workers and clinical counselors, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintaining accurate and timely client records, including progress notes, in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Communicating openly with the center director regarding your scheduling needs and availability to ensure optimal client care.

At Soul Restore, we serve a varied client base that encompasses diverse backgrounds and age groups. Our clients may be navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and personal growth, seeking professional guidance that resonates with their faith and values.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Independently licensed as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Washington, with a clear understanding of Biblical counseling techniques.
• A strong foundation in various therapeutic modalities and interventions.
• Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and cultural competence.
• The ability to work effectively with a wide range of clients from all walks of life, including various age groups.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical counseling practices.

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who also have:

• At least one year of trauma counseling experience.
• Experience working with church communities or faith-based organizations.
• Training in EMDR or a willingness to complete EMDR basic training within the first three months of employment.
• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland.

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary range of $100,000 – $105,000. Our benefits package includes:
