Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of children to identify developmental needs and create individualized support plans.
  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP), ensuring families are engaged and informed throughout the process.
  • Monitor and document the children's progress and outcomes as part of a collaborative team focused on enhancing early childhood development.
  • Build trusting relationships with children and their families to encourage open communication and collaboration.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and principles of the Natural Learning Environment in the support and coaching of families to enhance their child's development.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations pertaining to social work and early intervention services.
  • Provide families with education and resources to help them support their child's development and navigate various challenges.
  • Contribute to team meetings and training sessions, sharing insights and strategies to promote the continuous improvement of services offered.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is focused primarily on children from birth to three years of age who may experience disabilities or developmental delays. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will play a vital role in early intervention initiatives, providing support, assessments, and resources that help families navigate the complexities of their child's developmental needs.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure by the Connecticut Department of Public Health as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
