Job description

Responsibilities

Sentinel is seeking a Level I Engineer for our Cloud Select team. The ideal candidate will have a background in systems administration and demonstrates the ability to move into a Cloud focused role. Responsibilities include onboarding new customers, supporting data center migrations, and maintaining critical cloud infrastructure. This role requires excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills as you will be working with various cross functional teams. Candidates should have experience in technical support and be comfortable in a past-paced, SLA-driven environment. This position can be work remote within the United States but must travel to Downers Grove, IL as needed.

Qualifications
  • Provide technical support and system engineering for all Windows-based and Linux-based platforms including Active Directory, DNS, RDS
  • Planning, executing, and overseeing the successful migration of data center infrastructure, applications, and services
  • Experience with Hyper-V/SystemCenter and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus   
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Participation in after-hours work (when needed) and OnCall rotation is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Nice to have public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) experience
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a "can-do" attitude

Compensation Range: 

$70,000-$100,000 annually
