Job description

Centene is transforming the health of our communities one person at a time. As an Executive on our team, you could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members.

Applicants for this role must live within driving distance of our Baton Rouge Office.

Position Purpose: Plans and directs all aspects of Louisiana Healthcare Connections operational policies, objectives, and initiatives.

  • Develop policies and procedures for operational processes in order to ensure optimization and compliance with established standards and regulations.
  • Represents the organization in its relationships with major customers, suppliers, competitors, commercial and investment bankers, government agencies, professional societies, and similar groups.
  • Develops a sound short-and long-range plan for the organization.
  • Ensures the adequacy and soundness of the organization's financial structure and reviews projections of working capital requirements.
  • Negotiates and otherwise arranges for any outside financing that may be indicated.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a top management position in the government or healthcare industry required.
  • Extensive experience in contracting, contract acquisition, operations management, and strategic planning and development.
  • Previous experience managing staff, including hiring, training, managing workload and performance.

Pay Range: $270,000.00 - $580,000.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
