Remote Chief Operating Officer Mining information

What is a remote chief operating officer in the mining industry?

A Remote Chief Operating Officer (COO) in the mining industry is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of a mining company, but does so from a remote location rather than on-site. This role involves managing production, safety, logistics, and regulatory compliance, all while leading teams and coordinating efforts across multiple sites, often using digital tools and technology. The remote COO ensures that operations run efficiently and aligns company strategy with operational execution, bringing strong leadership to geographically dispersed teams. They play a crucial role in driving productivity, maintaining safety standards, and supporting business growth in the fast-evolving mining sector.

How does a remote chief operating officer in the mining industry manage site operations and ensure alignment with corporate goals from a distance?

A Remote COO in mining leverages digital tools and strong communication channels to oversee site operations, ensuring that teams on the ground are aligned with the company's strategic objectives. They regularly review operational reports, conduct virtual meetings with site managers, and use real-time data dashboards to monitor safety, productivity, and compliance metrics. Building trust and fostering a culture of accountability with on-site leaders is crucial, as is being proactive in addressing challenges that arise due to distance. The role demands adaptability, excellent leadership, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while navigating the complexities of remote oversight.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote chief operating officer in mining?

To excel as a Remote Chief Operating Officer in Mining, you need extensive experience in mining operations, a background in engineering or geology, and strong leadership qualifications, often supported by an advanced degree (MBA or similar). Familiarity with mining management software, remote operations technology, and compliance systems is critical for overseeing complex projects. Outstanding strategic thinking, communication, and decision-making skills set top performers apart in this leadership role. These competencies are vital for ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and effective team coordination across geographically dispersed sites.

Job description

Who are we?

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Pearl Street is a partnership-oriented dental practice management company that collaborates with top performing dentists to help them achieve their goals, unlock growth, and enhance operations, all while sustaining the partner dentistโ€™s autonomy.

With fifty partner practices and over six hundred employees, Pearl Street is a leader in Texas and Oklahoma focused on preserving the spirit of private practice dentistry, while equipping partner dentists with the technology, resources, and infrastructure that come from being part of a larger organization. Pearl Streetโ€™s co-ownership model and dentist-centric culture provide dentists with a true business partner and extensive support system to help their practices thrive over the long-term.

Who are you?

You are a strategic, hands-on marketing leader with experience in healthcare marketing, ideally in dental, medical, or vision. You know how to drive growth through patient acquisition, engagement, and retention, and you are comfortable owning the full marketing funnel from strategy through execution.

You are data-driven and accountable for results, with a strong understanding of KPIs tied to growth and retention. You collaborate easily across teams and partners, working closely with field leadership, technology, and external marketing partners to turn insights into action.

You are comfortable operating in a fast-growing, multi-location environment and enjoy building scalable marketing strategies that support both practice-level needs and enterprise growth. You are based in, or willing to work from, the Dallasโ€“Fort Worth area in a home-office role and report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

What will you do?

  • Own the marketing strategy and develop, execute, and refine the annual marketing plan to support company-wide growth initiatives.
  • Lead the creation of a consistent, personalized patient experience across digital touchpoints, including website content, design, navigation, and ongoing patient engagement efforts.
  • Manage and optimize all agency and vendor relationships, using clear KPIs to drive performance across media, creative, and communications partners.
  • Define and evolve best practices across performance marketing channels, including social, display, SEO/SEM, email, mobile, and emerging acquisition platforms, to drive patient growth.
  • Oversee and maximize the use of digital marketing tools and platforms, ensuring they deliver strong results while minimizing operational burden on individual practices.
  • Partner closely with Operations, the COO, and Regional and Practice Managers to align marketing strategies with operational goals, incorporating provider feedback where appropriate.
  • Lead, develop, and coach the marketing team, prioritizing high-impact work and building scalable processes that support the business as it grows.

What will you bring?

  • 7+ years of experience building and leading performance-driven marketing teams, including at least 2 years in healthcare marketing. Experience in dental services is strongly preferred.
  • A proven track record of owning and delivering results across the full patient lifecycle, including acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Demonstrated success driving patient acquisition through digital marketing, with hands-on expertise in SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and online advertising, including localized strategies that drive traffic and repeat visits.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with experience using marketing analytics tools and CRM platforms to measure performance and guide decision-making. Experience with dental or healthcare systems is a plus.
  • A genuine passion for healthcare and a commitment to creating thoughtful, high-quality patient experiences.
